Our state of the art Dolby Atmos dubbing / mixing stage is built inside an historic commercial cinema. Its a beautiful room with a 8m wide cinema screen and the stage is equipped with a JBL Screen Array, Pro Tools HDX2 and a 32 Fader Digidesign D-Control.
Mixing in the SoundMAX3D dubbing stage is a breath of fresh air, working in a full size cinema is the only way to know the mix is right, the space lets you feel the emotion and energy giving the re-recording mixer the opportunity to get the mix just right with the first pass and leaves time to be creative and explore the immersive soundscape.

Our team are specialists in integrated film mixing combining the score mix with the dialog and effects for an all in one mixing experience. Not all films have the luxury of the time or budget to have a separate in-cinema score mix to accompany the film final mix and this is where our team has shown their steel creating beautiful film final mixes where the music, dialog and sound effects seamlessly flow and complements one another.

- We were the first Dolby Atmos Cinema Certified dubbing / mixing stage on the African continent.
- We were the first mixing stage in the world to mix a Music Concert Film for an international A-list band in both Dolby Atmos and Auro3D immersive formats to be released in cinemas world wide in both formats and to receive a 5-star rating for audio in the blue-ray reviews.
- Our team of re-recording mixers, composers and sound designers have a combined experience of working on way over 1000 films, tv series and live broadcast hours.
- Our facility used to be in the foreshore in Cape Town but due to the building we rented being sold, we had to re-locate and we found the most amazing 1930’s Art Deco Cinema Complex in the Paarl Wine Valley where we could move to and allowed us to double the size of our stage. If you ever wonder if size matters ……. It DOES!!
